Artemis currently produces
seven types of pigments:
- "Invisible"
pigments (ultraviolet reactive / responsive):
These pigments are used to create covert markings
which can be used to separate authentics from fakes
for items such as credit cards, banknotes, high-end
designer clothing, auto parts, CD's, and DVD's.
- Glitter
flakes: This product is used for decorative
purposes on toys, printed materials, pens and pencils,
holiday ornaments, etc.
- Thermochromes:
These pigments change color when heated above a particular
temperature.
- Photochromes:
These pigments change color when exposed to ordinary
sunlight.
- Up
Converters/Anti-Stokes: These pigments absorb
energy from an infrared laser and emit visible light.
- Daylight
Fluorescents: These pigments absorb a wide
variety of wavelengths of light and then emit very
brightly in one narrow band of wavelengths of light.
This creates the abnormally bright orange on traffic
signs.
- Custom Products: We
also make a wide variety of custom specialty pigments.
There is almost nothing we can't make or find, so
don't hesitate to ask!
